This lovely park has been popular with locals and visitors for well over a century, and is an easy walk to most of Fremantle's most popular attractions. Situated close to the Fremantle foreshore, it's a great spot to linger on a hot summer's day, as the large mature trees offer plentiful shade, and the fresh sea breezes provide a welcome relief from the heat.
It's a beautiful spot for people of all ages, and the perfect venue for a family picnic. There are plenty of park benches if you're wanting to relax and do some quiet reading, while children will enjoy running around the grassy open areas, or exploring the adventure playground. There are also public toilets.
Directions: Since Fremantle can get very busy, especially on weekends and during festivals, it's best to catch public transport, as finding a parking spot can be difficult. Fremantle Railway Station and Bus Station are situated less than ten minute's walk away. If you do choose to drive, there is car-parking adjacent to the park, but you do need to arrive early to ensure a spot.

I love this place! During the week it's usually pretty quiet so I find it a great spot to simply chill out, and during the weekends it's always bustling with energy and fun. Sometimes special events such as festivals are held here too...a great spot to visit, whether you're a local or just passing through!
